Wedding Inspiration: Ojai, CA

This weekend I had the pleasure of driving down the coast to go to a BEAUTIFUL wedding in Ojai, California. Driving down the 1 was absolutely breathtaking! I swear, you could get out of the car every 10 minutes to take in the view.

But now to the wedding! This was an absolutely gorgeous, personalized, DIY outdoor wedding. I am a huge fan of making weddings feel like the couple, and this couple nailed it! Here's a few of the personal touches that made the day so special!

The ceremony and reception took place outdoors. There were palm trees and foliage everywhere, swooping and hanging to make the perfect jungle canopies. Lanterns, twinkle lights, and shells were adorned everywhere!

Scattered among the trees were mason jars filled with stones and tea candles. The tables were covered in cut wine and beer bottles, filled with succulents and hydrangeas.

I love cozy furniture outdoors, and this was such a perfect little lounge area!

The "guest book" was a tall recycled glass vase from Spain. The Bride and Groom filled baskets with card stock, sea shells, and even souvenirs from their trips to Joshua Tree! They asked everyone to write a note on any of the objects and place them in the vase.

The happy couple!

After the ceremony, everyone gathered around the pool area to have beer, wine, and appetizers. How cute are the mason jars for serving beer? I especially loved the personalized koozies representing the place where the Groom proposed!

The rest of the night was filled with food, music, dancing, laughter, and so much happiness and love! It was a beautiful night under the palm tree canopies and stars!

American Apparel

If you're not sure what you're doing yet to celebrate the 4th tomorrow, don't worry, you're not alone! But I bet you know what outfit you're wearing, right? Here are some style ideas for tomorrow's festivities!

Keep it casual and cool with some dark denim jeans and a flowy feminine top. How fun are these blue and red striped crop tops? Perfect for a 4th of July BBQ!

Maxi Dresses are amazing for sunny/windy days in San Francisco! And in these dark blues and patterns, they are very much in the spirit of the holiday.

Go for something a little more flirty in a pretty beaded top and a soft chiffon skirt. Don't forget a sweater!

If you happen to be going somewhere a little more fancy, how amazing is this vintage-inspired lace dress? Rock it with these accessories and you'll be just as sparkly as the fireworks!

Everyone have an amazing Fourth of July!!

Foggy Day Blues

It's been a grey day over here on Union Street, but thank you everyone who fought the urge to stay in bed all day and came in for a visit and some retail therapy!
Lauren beautifully rearranged the store to get into the Fourth of July spirit. We're short on the red, but we have so many blues, whites, and stripes ready for you!

Speaking of, I love these patterns and textures in the store right now!

Happy Sunday!!
