This weekend, I had the pleasure of having a sleep over with my old friend Allie Lafon in New York City. Her apartment is decorated with the coolest array of oddities! It's dark, vintage-y, and eclectic but also homey and comfortable. I took the liberty of snapping some quick shots of her place. My ipod touch doesn't do the place justice!

While flipping through a magazine I saw a page on how to create "Red & Black Cherry Ombre Lips." It took me a while to warm up to it, but now I'm fascinated. Done well, I think it's quite striking, and as an artist, I love how painterly it looks. This sparked my interest in some other ombre trends...
